Design

BUCOplate heat exchange panels are manufactured from two sheets either of the same wall thickness (type DP-double embossed, manufacturing) or of different wall thicknesses (type EP-single embossed, manufacturing) by laser or resistance welding.

To meet TÜV requirements all standard Laserplates (as with our Resistance weld product) are designed to with-stand burst pressures at least five times the rated working pressure. Working pressure 20 bar, burst pressure >100 bar.

Materials

BUCOplate can be manufactured from nearly all weldable materials, i.e:

Steel - DIN EN 10130 DC01
Austenitic steels - DIN EN 10028-7 - AISI 304

- AISI 904L


Surfaces

Laserwelding being a single side operation the laserweld suffers little mechanical distortion during manufacture and a single embossed panel can be processed with a thick plate prepickled, brushed or even polished without welddamage to the flat side surface during manufacture.


Dimensions / Wall thickness

Laserplate dimensions are available in single plate sizes to max. 12000 x 2000 mm. Double embossed plates from 0,8 to 3 mm wall thickness. Single embossed plates usually for tank building, chemical, Process and Food industry machinery - thick wall up to 12 mm, thin wall up to 1,5 mm.


Channel Cross-Sections / Working pressures

Profile and wall thickness are chosen according to the requirements of flow rate, working pressure and pressure drop. The following profiles are standard. Variations are possible.
